Available through approved dealerships.

Case in point –
How does a Bike Warranty benefit Denver?

Denver, an avid rider from Gauteng, proudly owns a 2019 Yamaha MT-07, a powerful and reliable machine he purchased from an authorised dealer. When the bike’s original 2-year manufacturer warranty came to an end, Denver made a smart move: he opted for M-Sure’s Bike Warranty, tailored to cover his specific model.

A few months later, while exploring one of South Africa’s more remote regions, Denver began noticing something unusual – his gearbox was slipping between gears. Concerned but confident, he knew this was a component covered under his M-Sure Bike Warranty.

Denver contacted our team and immediately began the claim process. Not only were the gearbox repairs fully covered as part of his warranty, but because he was far from home, he was also able to make use of the additional benefits included in his cover such as roadside assistance, overnight accommodation and motorcycle hire.

Thanks to M-Sure, Denver was back on the road with minimal hassle and zero unexpected costs.

Bike Warranty FAQs

What types of bikes does this Warranty cover?

New bikes that haven’t been registered yet, as well as used bikes that are less than 15 years old (180 months from the first date of registration) and have less than 100 000 km on the clock.

Does the Warranty cover the costs of my regular services?

A Warranty does not provide for your bike’s regular services, you will need a Service Plan for that.

How do I claim?

If you have a claim, please contact us on 0860 927 726 or email claims@m-sure.co.za within 7 days of becoming aware of the mechanical breakdown or electrical failure.

In which countries do I have cover?

The bike is covered in the Republic of South Africa (RSA), Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kingdom of Eswatini (Swaziland), Lesotho and Mozambique.

Am I allowed to service my own bike?

You are not allowed to self-service your bike. It must be serviced as per the manufacturer’s specifications and requirements. Each service must be done within 1 500 km or 30 days of the recommended service interval, whichever comes first. Keep copies of your service invoices. You might need to show them if you claim.

Can I have an aftermarket exhaust fitted on my bike?

Yes. Your policy will stay valid, as long as the replacement part is a well-known brand and comes with its own warranty and it’s fitted by an authorised dealer that sells the part. Please keep a copy of the paid invoice as we might need it if you make a claim. No extra modifications are allowed to the aftermarket exhaust and manifold system.
